Some common sizes and prices
Acrylic on paper, 20 x 28 cm (8 x 12 inch) € 250
This is a quite common size (about A4) which you can frame in a standard A4 frame.
Acrylic on paper, 30 x 42 cm (12 x 16,5 inch) € 445
If you think an A4 is too small and you like to have a bigger framed painting on the wall you can commission an A3 painting on paper.
Acrylic on canvas, 50 x 70 cm (20 x 28 inch) € 700
If you prefer to have an artwork on canvas, a size I commonly sell is 50 x 70 cm. If you don’t want to frame the canvas I can order a thick canvas and paint the sides as well.
Acrylic on canvas, 60 x 90 cm (24 x 35 inch) € 950
If you like to have an impressive large painting, a 60 x 90 cm canvas is a nice choice. Larger paintings are possible as well but due to limitations in my current working studio the largest size I can deliver is 100 x 200 cm.
Pricing method
The price of my artwork is based on the effort spent on making it and the costs of the materials. Over the last years I measured the time needed to make an artwork and based on these measurements I created a simple pricing model resulting in honest and fair prices.
Price = Length (cm) x Height (cm) x Price-factor (€/cm2)
where the Price-factor is determined by two aspects:
the size of the canvas, the larger the painting the lower the factor. So large paintings are relatively cheaper than small paintings. This is because both material costs and required time to create the artwork are relatively lower for large paintings (small paintings with a lot of details take a lot of time)
the materials. Paper is cheaper than canvas.
Please note that the default price is an indication of the price. If the painting is very complex with a lot of details or very specific demands the final price might get a bit higher. If you buy several paintings or if you are a known customer we can agree on a discount.
Unless we agreed otherwise the paintings are delivered without a frame.
The price excludes costs related to shipping.
