Maserati Quattroporte VI in black

This painting is made for the owner of this sublime Maserati Quattroporte. He lives in the USA and we know each other via family. He follows my facebook account and decided to order a painting based on a few photos he made. Together we discussed the painting (background or not, canvas or paper) and we decided to make it a modern painting without background. In that case paper is better then canvas. The shiny car was photographed in the hills on a sunny day and below the left headlight you can even see the reflection of the owner taking the picturre (see below a detail)

Detail of the painting

This detail shows the legs of the owner and his shawdow while making the picture. Painting such details is great fun and easier on a flat paper then on canvas where you always has the structure. Hope you like it.
